Who do I admire the most?

Who do I admire? Funny question, I don’t know! Well, I didn’t know until I actually thought about it when the speech topic came. When I first thought about it, I realized how many people that I admire my mom, my dad, my dog, MrBeast, and my friends. Then I then my mind did a backflip(even I can’t do a backflip) and I decided on Albert Einstein .You probably know him as the guy who came up with the famous equation, E=mc2 and has a picture of himself looking like a rockstar, but let’s be real, there’s a lot more to him than just that. Einstein was not just some nerdy guy with funny looking hair. He changed the world.

First off, he was super curious at EVERYTHING. He asked questions even though the answers were already obvious. I sometimes ask questions even though I know the answer so that people think I’m as smart as Albert Einstein. He went against everybody’s beliefs about the universe and stated wisely, “ Actually time and space are connected.” One day I will say something as wise like, “Chicken and bananas will rule the world.”He asked questions no one knew the answer to and researched the answers by himself. For example, he was very curious on what light was. When he said that light could behave both as a particle and a wave, it was an idea that nobody thought could be true. But Einstein didn’t just sit there and think, “Well, this doesn’t make sense.” He was curious enough to explore and prove that, in fact, light did have this strange nature.

He once said, Imagination is more important than knowledge. That’s right this guy rewrote the laws of the universe and still told us to keep daydreaming. Now at first, I thought, Sure, that’s exactly what someone says when they forgot to study for a test. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized he was right. Knowledge tells you what is. Imagination asks, what if?

that’s not the ultimate encouragement to take a nap and call it brainstorming I don’t know what is. Being smart is about asking big questions, showing curiosity, and occasionally sticking your tongue out in photos just to mess with people. Einstein wasn’t perfect. He failed math as a kid. (Okay, that isn’t true but he did struggle in school sometimes.) He made mistakes, too.

Einstein wasn’t just smart he was creatively smart. If you think about it, a lot of people are smart, but he was different. He didn’t just follow the rules of science he questioned them, poked them, turned them upside down, and then rewrote them in a way no one else had thought of. That’s not just genius. That’s creative genius. He didn’t just memorize formulas, he invented them. He literally sat in a chair one day, stared out a window, and imagined what it would be like to ride a beam of light. That wasn’t in a textbook. That was in his head. Meanwhile, I stare out the window and worry about this competition. He looked at the universe, tilted his head like my dog, and thought, “Huh… I bet we can do better.” Honestly, he probably thought of half of modern physics while tying his shoes or messing up his hair.

This is why, I admire Albert Einstein not just because he was a genius, but because he turned science into an act of imagination. He was a dreamer no combs. And honestly, that’s the kind of brilliance we could all use a little more of.
