Last year I ventured to India to meet my kins. I wished to visit India because it was my ninth birthday. My whole family flew to India. Actually, my mom and I flew first, then my dad arrived three days later. After one week of delicious food and loads of fun, we proceeded to a different state in India. We flew to see my mom’s sister. My aunt had recently had a baby. I couldn’t wait to meet my new cousin! Ambika was very funny and random words always fell out of her mouth. Do you know what “ Doggy necklace machine” means? Since my aunt nurtured my one year old cousin, she never adventured with us. My favorite excursion was when I gazed at the train station my uncle was working on. I loved it because my aunt and cousin were there too. I was also Impressed of it’s size.
Before long, we attended a wedding. I didn’t know we were attending a wedding. My mom secretly packed a black and golden Indian dress for me. I was obsessed! I wore a tikka and it matched my dress perfectly. The bride’s dress was even more stunning. It was a cherry red with pale white flowers and golden lining. She was adorned in Indian jewelry. It took me four hours to realize that it was my dad’s cousin who was getting married. The function was humongous, lasting 12 hours. Though the food was vegetarian it was delicious! After the wedding, which I was sleeping through, it was my birthday. The theme of my birthday was red and black.I wore the most breathtaking gown ever. It was red and had a big pom-pom on the side. My whole family was there, my mom’s side of the family and my dad’s side of the family. It was a long time since they both saw each other. We hired a professional photographer who would take cute photos. The problem was that Ambika wouldn’t stop crying. I don’t know why. The whole event was boisterous. I had a three layer, tender, red velvet cake. It was the cutest thing ever! It had white fondant around it and little red hearts drawn on it. Sadly, after the craziest party ever, we returned to America. I was very sentimental while leaving so my parents bought my grandma a ticket! They even upgraded my seat to business because it was my birthday! I sat with my grandma. I love my adoring, devoted, and loving family.
